Please read these Terms & Conditions carefully before installing the MY OWL GitHub App or accessing our breaking change detection platform.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account, installing the MY OWL GitHub App, or utilizing the MY OWL platform ('Service'), you ('Customer' or 'User') agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you are entering into this agreement on behalf of a company or legal entity, you represent that you possess the authority to bind such entity.
2. Description of Service
MY OWL provides automated Abstract Syntax Tree (AST) analysis, upstream vendor breaking change monitoring, four-gate migration verification, and automated draft pull request generation for supported programming languages and vendor SDKs.
3. Human Review & Draft-Only Guarantee
All code patches and migration proposals produced by MY OWL are delivered solely as GitHub Draft Pull Requests on isolated branches (apiproof/*). MY OWL does not auto-merge code into your production or default branches. Customer retains sole responsibility for reviewing, testing, verifying, and merging any proposed changes into their codebases.
4. Intellectual Property & Code Ownership
You retain all right, title, and interest in and to your source code, repositories, and software applications. MY OWL claims no intellectual property rights over any code analyzed or migration patches generated. We do not store your source code persistently, nor do we train generative AI models on your code.
5. GitHub App Scopes & Security Invariants
Customer grants MY OWL scoped permissions via GitHub OAuth and GitHub App installation to inspect repository manifests, parse files ephemerally for AST matching, and submit draft pull requests. Customer may revoke or modify repository access permissions at any time via GitHub organization settings.
6. Billing, Subscription Tiers & Cancellation
Paid tiers (such as Pro at $29/month, Team at $99/month, and Enterprise Custom) are billed in advance on a recurring monthly or annual basis. You may upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your subscription at any time through the billing dashboard. Cancellations take effect at the conclusion of the active billing period.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN 'AS IS' AND 'AS AVAILABLE' BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WHILE MY OWL APPLIES MULTI-GATE VERIFICATION HARNESSES, WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT ALL UPSTREAM BREAKING CHANGES WILL BE DETECTED OR THAT ALL PROPOSED PATCHES ARE FIT FOR SPECIFIC PRODUCTION ENVIRONMENTS WITHOUT HUMAN OVERSIGHT.
8. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL MY OWL OR ITS AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, ARISING FROM THE USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE.
9. Modifications to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service following notice of revised Terms constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
